A seasonal array of hedgerow birds and foliage folded into a concertina calendar.
I always enjoy collaborating with the publisher Art Angels, their projects allowing me to combine my passions for both nature and paper-engineering. This concertina calendar features twelve hedgerow birds along with seasonal foliage. The artwork was designed and made as one continuous image.
The artwork was created using intricately cut and collaged paper which I then drew into. I really enjoy this tactile way of working, gradually building up the layers and details of the image with the tiniest snips of paper!
